Susan Sams graduated from St. Andrews College, in Laurinburg, N.C. with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Equine Studies. While there she represented the school as a member of the Varsity, Intercollegiate, and ANRC riding teams.
Susan owned and operated Claiborne Hill Farm, a teaching, training and showing facility in Covington, LA for eight years and was an instructor and trainer at Slyfield Farm in Houston, TX. Susan has been teaching and training in East Texas since moving to the area in 2005.
Susan encourages her students to practice good horsemanship and focuses on equitation and attention to detail. Her students have excelled both locally and at “A” rated shows.
