Riding Program

Blue Willow Stables welcomes riders at all levels. Whether you are 4 or 40 it is never too late to start learning the amazing connection that exists between horse and rider! Lessons for those new to the sport focus on safety and horsemanship, as well as riding skills. For our more advanced riders,lessons are tailored to their individual needs and goals. Group and private lesson options are available.

We also host several clinics throughout the year bringing in top instructors, judges and trainers in the industry. Our show team riders have the opportunity to participate in schooling and recognized horseshows locally and out of state.

Jumping lessons

Our private jumping lessons and jumping classes are based on hunt seat equitation. We believe that good equitation should always be the foundation of jumping. Therefore, we spend lots of time focusing on position, balance and strength to ensure our riders jump safely and in harmony with their horses.

Whether you prefer the stylish hunters or enjoy the speed and excitement of show jumping this training approach will ensure quality performances.

Dressage Lessons

Our dressage lessons are all private. This allows the instructor to fully focus on the development of horse and rider. Our goal is to help riders work toward true self-carriage, not a forced or false position. We take the ideals of the German Training Scale into account in every lesson.

It is our hope that every rider who puts their effort into this complex sport will be able to achieve lightness and harmony with their equine partner as if they were performing a dance.
